In 2000, after a decade of professional practice in his homeland, Jaime Beriestain (Santiago de Chile, 1969) moved to Barcelona to study for an Interior Design Postgraduate Degree at the BAU Design College.
In 2002, he founded Jaime Beriestain Studio. Ever since, he and his team of professionals have been working on important national and international interior design projects.
In 2010, he opened a showroom in the centre of Barcelona, near Gaudi’s La Pedrera building, showcasing a selection of restored mid-20th-century furniture, books, and other decoration products. With the inauguration of his Concept Store and Café in 2013, Jaime Beriestain embarked upon his activities in the hospitality industry. His café is often featured in premium magazines like Vogue, Côté Sud, Elle, Wall Street Journal, Forbes and Vanity Fair.
Jaime’s designs include a wide variety of objects: lamps, chairs, rugs, sunglasses, sandals etc., and even his own recipes. He continues to work tirelessly, following his passion for high quality design and a job well done.
Jaime Beriestain Studio is an award-winning interior design and landscape architecture firm based in Madrid and Barcelona. Founded by Jaime Beriestain in 2002, it has completed prestigious projects of different sizes and complexities throughout Europe, Africa and America.
Jaime Beriestain Studio has a diverse portfolio of outstanding luxury hotel, private residential, restaurant and retail projects. Clients include leading hotel chains such as Hyatt Regency, Marriott, Waldorf Astoria and Hilton.
The Studio’s approach is to research the specific nature of each project and tailor a design response to meet the aspirations of the individual client, the characteristics of the site and the detailed requirements of future occupants.
Beriestain’s designs, ranging from the classicism of Barcelona’s period Hotel Palace (formerly The Ritz) to the contemporary glamour of Hotel The One by H10, bear witness to the firm’s extraordinary versatility.
Beriestain was honoured as Best Interior Design Studio 2016 by Condé Nast’s Architectural Digest magazine.
In 2017, he designed the public areas of the renovated Hotel Sofia in Barcelona, furnishing this emblematic hotel with a refreshed international identity. In the same year, he renovated a stunning Hotel Particulier Classé Historique in the historic centre of Geneva.
In 2018, the Studio already has a number of stunning projects in Spain, Dubai and New York in progress.

JUAN SAINZ DE LOS TERREROS
Juan has diplomas from ETSAUN, ETSAB and TUB, and built his experience in top-flight Spanish and German studios. This highly qualified profile means he can monitor and lead projects both national and international with a guarantee of precision, control and authority.
After graduating in Law from ESADE, he took a Master’s in International Business Law, also at ESADE. As a lawyer, Jesús practised in the fields of IT, Privacy, Data Protection and Corporate law. Today, he heads the business development and legal affairs function at Jaime Beriestain Studio.
After graduating from ESIC Business School in 2010 and Elisava School of Design and Engineering in 2014, Omar González joined Jaime Beriestain Studio, working on a vast array of projects. He leads the Concept Design Team under the supervision of Jaime Beriestain.
Interior Design graduate of the Escuela Superior de Diseño in Madrid, Spain. With previous experience designing furniture and products, his passions become objectified in his work, where aesthetics, proportions, materials and shapes meet bringing genuine spaces and furniture pieces seeking to reveal it´s essence.
After studying Interior Design at Elisava School of Design, Laia joined Jaime Beriestain Studio in 2018. She previously worked on retail projects, developing new ways of understanding spaces from an alternative point of view. She is a spatially sensitive designer who solves the problems of space with simple, rational solutions.
Damián began his studies to be an Architect, then changed his carreer to study Interior Design at Universidad del Desarrollo, Chile. In addition he does a course in lighting at the Pontificia Universidad Católica, Chile. Damián joins Jaime Beriestain Studio in 2018 where he combines his passion for drawing with Interior Design.
A graduate with a double degree in Interior Architecture and Product Design of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Szymon previously worked as a creative designer in Stockholm and as an Interior Designer in firms in Warsaw, Monaco and Barcelona. He joined Jaime Beriestain Studio as an Interior Designer in 2017.
Graduated in Product Design from Elisava School of Design and Engineering in 2014. He has previously worked developing projects in different design fields as furniture, lighting or user interface, achieving a global design perspective. Oscar joined Jaime Beriestain Studio in February 2019 to develop new furniture projects.
ÁLVARO DE RAMÓN MURILLO
After graduating from Graphic Design studies at Arte Diez (Madrid), ESAM (Paris) and starting a second Graphic Design study at ArtEZ (Arnhem), Alvaro joined Jaime Beriestain Studio in 2018. Before, he developed international projects related to hotels and art. His design has no particular style and evolves along every project.
JUAN DIEGO PÉREZ
A cum laude 2012 graduate of the University of Los Andes, Bogota (Colombia) and with an M.Arch (2015) from Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB-UPC), Juan Diego joined Jaime Beriestain Studio in November 2016 and now works on a wide variety of projects, including luxury hotels and hospitality.
After receiving his Diploma from the Barcelona School of Architecture (ESTAB-UPC) and having previously worked for different practices in Barcelona, Edinburgh and Berlin, Carles joined Jaime Beriestain Studio in 2012, where he works leading luxury hotel projects.
After completing his Architecture studies at the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB-UPC), the Hammons School of Architecture, Drury University, Missouri and a professional 3D modelling course, Patrik joined Jaime Beriestain Studio in 2016, where he now works on luxury hotel projects.
After graduating from the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB-UPC), Guillem was involved in a wide variety of cultural, residential and retail projects before joining Jaime Beriestain Studio in 2014. There, he heads assignments ranging from residential premises to luxury hotels.
JUAN JOSÉ MORGADO
Graduated as an Architect from the Seville’s ETSAS School of Architecture in July 2009. Later, in 2013, he obtained a Master’s in Interior Design from the University of Salamanca’s MADin. Juanjo joined Jaime Beriestain Studio in November 2016 and works on luxury hotel and retail projects.
An Architecture graduate of the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB-UPC) and Berlin (UdK). After several years leading projects, Cristina joined Jaime Beriestain Studio in 2012, where she works on a wide variety of assignments. From private residences to luxury hotels and also hospitality projects, focusing on every single detail.
Graduating in Architecture from the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB-UPC) in 2013, Javier spent the early years of his career in Mexico, working on and managing a wide variety of projects from social housing to luxury developments. He joined Jaime Beriestain Studio in November 2017.
Marta is an Architecture graduate of the Vallès School of Architecture (ETSAV-UPC) and holder of a Master’s in Landscape Design from the École Nationale Supérieure de Paysage de Versailles. In October 2016, she joined Jaime Beriestain Studio, where she works on luxury private residential projects.
After studying Architecture at the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB-UPC), Quirze joined Jaime Beriestain Studio in 2014, where he is involved in a wide variety of projects and which he leads some of them, including premium private residences as well as international luxury hotels.
After obtaining her Architecture degree from UIC Barcelona in 2016, Alba complemented her studies with a Master’s Degree in Fashion Design from the Instituto Europeo di Design. She joined Jaime Beriestain Studio in October 2017 as a member of the architecture team.
After graduating with honors at the Madrid School of Architecture (ETSAM) and receiving a scholarship for the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) in Chicago, Lucía worked as an architect in renovation and interior design projects. She joined Jaime Beriestain Studio in 2017 and now works on a wide variety of projects, including luxury hotels and hospitality.
Quico Cortés studied Architecture and Interior Design in Barcelona and, after a gaining great experience as a Project Manager in the luxury hotel sector, joined Jaime Beriestain Studio in 2008. Heading the of Beriestain Hospitality Unit, he is involved in FF&E, hotel and private residence projects.
After graduating in Interior Design in 2002 from BAU Design College of Barcelona, he worked alongside Jaime Beriestain from his very first project in Barcelona (the Hilton Hotel). Since then, he has had two partnerships with Jaime Beriestain (from 2002 to 2010 and from 2015 to the present day), managing projects from private residences to luxury hotels.
Head of the Administration and Accounting Department. Carme joined Jaime Beriestain Studio in 2013, she studied at Illa Dels Banyols.
Graduated from the Institut Obert de Catalunya with a degree in accounting, Jessica joined Jaime Beriestain Studio in 2014.
